![]() ![]() ![]() They're focusing on business "team" collaboration, and I use it alone, so they're kind of ignoring features that I'd like to see, but that's life. For what it does, it still does it well, and keeps my workflow going. Bear's not an option for me on PC/Android. Happy with it using it as an external brain. What do y’all think of it, considering it as its original “external brain” “keep your life in it” purpose? How’s it holding up, especially in the last year or so since they shook things up and tightened focus? Are you happy with it? Or looking for alternatives? I look back at all my old notes and I’m like, yeah, I put a lot of worthwhile stuff into this and it was helpful to have it around. I thought I’d look in here and I am seeing a bunch of complaints, so maybe it still kinda sucks, I don’t know.īut then again, a company that’s been around for a decade (1000 years in Internet Time) and is focused on sustainability and the future, is maybe worth my getting back into. I know it hit a rough patch a couple years back, when they fired a bunch of people, cut back on a bunch of (half-baked) projects, and tried to focus again. So I’m wondering if I should reconsider good old Evernote. It’d be great to be able to get to my store of notes via the web or something, and Bear’s got nothing like that (it works through apple file sync). My life’s a little different these days and I’m not sitting in front of my own computer in my own Apple account all day anymore. I’ve been fine with it, though I don’t actually use it that much. I exported my notes to Bear and kissed the elephant goodbye. ![]() A year or so ago, a competitor (in the Apple ecosystem) came out, called Bear. I was never a heavy evernote user, but I stashed “stuff to remember” into it for a few years.
